Bunker77 | Dutch Premiere

"Bunker77" is an adoring tribute to surfing’s most self-destructively maverick playboy and a relentlessly lively dive into the sport’s pre-commercialism golden days.

Anthony “Bunker” Spreckels was the step-son of Clark Gable and heir to a huge sugar fortune. His furious lifestyle drove him to lose his life at an early age and join the notorious "27 Club” with superstars like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison. Bunker’s bold legacy is captured by film director Takuji Masuda, as Bunker stylishly carves his own distinct path through life and surfing, leaving a distinct influence on our surf culture.

"Bunker77" is the true, wild story of a surf rebel and traces the steep arc of enigmatic ’70s surf punk.

Directed by Takuji Masuda.

Running time: 86 minutes.
